Muskegon County Suicide Prevention Coalition

The SPC of Muskegon County seeks to raise awareness and reduce stigma in order to create a suicide safer community by promoting hope, connectedness, and healing. If you are in crisis, call the Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255), or the Muskegon Crisis Line at 231-722-HELP (4357).

The Suicide Prevention Coalition (SPC) of Muskegon County is a data-driven group, working in conjunction with the Suicide Fatality Review Team and the Medical Examiner. SPC Meetings are open to all community members, and are held the 4th Wednesday, every other month: 12:00 pm at HealthWest (376 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI)

Suicide Attempt and Survivors

The SPC is working to support suicide attempt survivors with a newly formed task force and Suicide Attempt Survivors Support Group (ages 18+). The Suicide Attempt Survivors Support Group meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm in the Boardroom at Mercy Health Hackley Campus, 1700 Clinton St., Muskegon, MI.

For suicide loss survivors, the Survivors of Suicide Support Group of the Lakeshore meets the 3rd Monday of each month, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 1716 Sixth St., Muskegon, MI.
