Community Resources

We are committed to helping residents in our community obtain health insurance. For those who do not have health insurance provided through their place of employment, there are options. Some may qualify for Medicaid—this is an income-based insurance and is mostly available for children and adults with disabilities who meet certain income criteria. HealthWest services are funded by Medicaid.



For those without insurance and who do not qualify for Medicaid, HealthWest has Navigators available to assist you in signing up for health insurance. We strive to partner with our community, providing outreach to the uninsured or underinsured in our community. In addition to 2 Certified Navigators, HealthWest has 7 staff who are qualified to provide assistance to individuals applying for health insurance through the Marketplace (also known as Healthy Michigan) program.



We are able to provide these services to anyone in our community; you do not need to be receiving services from HealthWest to receive assistance with the Marketplace or to apply for affordable health care.
