Psychological First Aid (PFA) Training

January 31, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Provide Support in the Aftermath of Crisis
Psychological First Aid (PFA) aims to reduce stress symptoms and assist in a healthy recovery following a traumatic event, natural disaster, public health emergency, or even a personal crisis.

Early intervention can prevent more serious mental health problems later– people can recover from a traumatic event with support.

HealthWest has a community Psychological First Aid (PFA) team which responds to traumatic events in Muskegon County. This training is designed to equip community members to participate with the PFA team and assist in responding to traumatic events in our community.
