Psychological First Aid (PFA) Training for First Responders

May 19, 2017 @ 6:00 am - 10:00 am

FREE

Provide Support in the Aftermath of Crisis

Psychological First Aid (PFA) aims to reduce stress symptoms and assist in a healthy recovery following a traumatic event, natural disaster, public health emergency, or even a personal crisis.

Early intervention can prevent more serious mental health problems later– people can recover from a traumatic event with support.

This training is facilitated by HealthWest Psychological First Aid Specialist, Joellen Rhyndress. It is designed to equip the community’s first responders to participate with the HAYO (Hey, Are You Okay?) Team.

EMS Continuing Education credits will be awarded.
