Often there is confusion about what “Transgender” really means. “Transgender 101” will educate you about terminology, disparities that Transgender individuals encounter, recent events in the news, and so much more.
This event was first presented at HealthWest in June. The overwhelmingly positive response is why we are offering this second chance to the public, our partners, and staff. This learning event will benefit professionals, clinicians, first responders, families, transgender individuals, and anyone who has questions.
Dr. Lori Bray is a psychologist . In 2007 Lori married Michael. 5 years into the marriage Michael reveled to Lori that he was transgender. Lori never identified as “bisexual or lesbian” and yet the marriage remains strong and Michael is now Nicole. Lori and Nicole have said, “no question is off limits during our presentation”.
This event is free. You must register to attend. Social Work CEUs are provided.
