For People We Serve

Club Interactions is a clubhouse. What is a clubhouse? A clubhouse is first and foremost a community of people working together toward a common goal, supporting people living with the effects of mental illness. Club Interactions gives its members a place to go to build relationships, head in the direction of employment if they so desire, explore education, and more. This is different from a “drop-in center.” Members and staff of a Clubhouse work side-by-side to manage all the operations of the Clubhouse, providing an opportunity for members to contribute in significant and meaningful ways. Clubhouse is operated in a partnership model with members and staff working side-by-side as colleagues (this is known as a “Work-Ordered Day.”)

Our philosophy: A clubhouse is a restorative environment for people who have had their lives drastically disrupted and need the support of others who believe that recovery from mental illness is possible for all.

Services include:

  • Programming: Club Interactions has a “Work-Ordered Day” (work is voluntary.)  Members and staff work together to support the clubhouse.
  • Community support: Members receive assistance from peers and staff in a variety of areas in order to obtain and maintain the highest quality of life possible.
  • Administration/Management: Members are partners in the management of clubhouse as well as decision making.
  • Evening/Weekend/Holiday Hours: Social and recreational opportunities provide members choices for their leisure time.

Club Interactions is available to adults with a primary diagnosis of mental illness who are currently receiving services at HealthWest.
