HealthWest takes precautionary steps to prevent spread of COVID-19

HealthWest is dedicated to providing essential behavioral health and substance use services to our community.

However, during the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, the delivery of those services will change as we work to limit personal contact to help prevent any further spread.

The HealthWest Mental Health Center, at 376 E. Apple Ave., will reopen Monday, March 16, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. However, all groups and trainings will be canceled until further notice.

Our response to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak will be assessed regularly and change as appropriate. Please visit for regular updates on services here at HealthWest. Updates will also be posted regularly on our Facebook page.

All HealthWest services will be provided in accordance with local and state health department recommendations to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved. Please remember that all actions being taken are simply to help reduce the rate of spread and that the community and those we serve should remain calm and continue to practice good hygiene, social distancing, and frequent hand washing.

Community members are advised to call HealthWest at 231-724-1111 with any questions about services or to speak with their HealthWest worker.

HealthWest staff will be working to connect with individuals in services to ensure their needs are met and will be making regular contact with them throughout this situation.

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, we are open Monday through Friday 8-5 for appointments and crisis services, only. For persons served, it is recommended that those who are able, first contact their HealthWest worker to see if we can virtually meet your needs.  In addition, our crisis line is available 24-hours a day at 231-722-HELP(4357).

If you are feeling physically ill, please contact your primary care physician.
