Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy

Our “DD Clinic” provides speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy services to clients of HealthWest. It is our goal to provide support through therapy services and to increase independence and promote self-determined living opportunities.

Our speech and language therapy services are provided to enhance a person’s ability to use and understand language, communicate with others, or manage swallowing conditions.

Our physical therapy services are to help an individual to gain function in areas such as movement, balance, strength, coordination, flexibility, and posture. This helps individuals be more independent in the completion of daily activities.

Our occupational therapy services assist individuals to gain independence in completing daily activities such as dressing, bathing, eating, mobility, and working. This is done through treatment activities, use of adaptive equipment, or environmental modification. Occupational Therapists also provide sensory integration, evaluation and treatment.

Our services are based on medical necessity and do require a prescription from a physician. You also must have a goal that includes one of our services on your Individual Plan of Service. Speak to your HealthWest staff person for more information on how you might utilize our services.
