We Are Here For You!
Recipient Rights
Your Healthcare, Your Choices
As your rights office, we are here to serve you and to ensure that you are treated with dignity and respect while receiving services at HealthWest. When you receive mental health services, Michigan’s Mental Health Code and other laws safeguard your rights. Staff are responsible for protecting your recipient rights when they provide services to you. You are free to ask questions about your treatment and about your rights and to make suggestions that you feel are in your best interest.
If you believe your rights have been violated, you should inform our Recipient Rights Department. If you have a question, a concern, or a complaint, please call 231-724-1107 or submit a complaint via fax at 231-724-4445. You can also contact Recipient Rights Officer Linda Wagner at linda.wagner@healthwest.net.
